Repairs Covered
Drive Forward Lane County was founded to provide financial assistance for essential vehicle repairs that restore or maintain safe and reliable transportation for qualified applicants. You must currently live in Lane County, Oregon, to qualify for assistance. We are currently in the early stages of fundraising and grant development, and we do not currently have dedicated funding available for vehicle repairs.
During our current fundraising stage, we are focused on smaller essential safety and reliability repairs that may realistically be supported through donated funds, donated or discounted parts, donated labor, or other case-specific resources.
Eligible Vehicle Assistance
Drive Forward Lane County is currently focused on smaller essential repairs that may be addressed with available donated funds, parts, labor, or other resources. Every request is reviewed individually, and submitting an application does not guarantee assistance.
Major repairs or repairs requiring high-cost components are generally outside the scope of our current assistance efforts.

What Is Not Covered
Cosmetic repairs, performance upgrades, luxury accessories, routine maintenance, and other non-essential vehicle improvements are not eligible. Major repairs or repairs requiring high-cost components — including engine or transmission repair or replacement and tire replacement — are generally outside the scope of our current assistance efforts. Every request is reviewed individually, and submitting an application does not guarantee assistance.
Vehicle & Value Exclusions
- Repairs over vehicle value
- Luxury and exotic brands (BMW, Mercedes, Land Rover, etc.)
- Commercial or income vehicles (rideshare, delivery, commercial vans)
- Salvage or unsafe titles (cracked frames, severe structural rust)
System & Component Exclusions
- Air conditioning systems (unless documented medical need)
- In-car entertainment (stereos, infotainment, backup cameras)
- Cruise control systems
- Power windows and sunroofs (unless stuck open to the elements)
