Our Impact
Every essential repair we are working to help make possible is an investment in a person — not just a vehicle. Here's how we're working to keep Lane County moving forward as our program grows.
You must currently live in Lane County, Oregon, to qualify for assistance. Repair assistance is available only to residents of Lane County, Oregon.
The Ripple Effect of Reliable Transportation
When a vehicle breaks down, it's rarely just a car problem. It's a job problem, an education problem, a healthcare access problem, and a family stability problem — all at once. One essential vehicle repair can help someone get to work tomorrow, avoid lost wages, remain employed, continue school or training, and care for their family. By helping before a breakdown becomes a crisis, we can break a cycle that otherwise spirals.
Employment
Reliable transportation means showing up to work on time, every day. It means keeping the job you have and being able to pursue better opportunities.
Education
Students need to get to class. Parents need to get their kids to school. A working vehicle makes education accessible.
Community
From volunteer commitments to family obligations, a reliable vehicle keeps people connected to the people and causes that matter.
Building Our Impact — One Repair at a Time
Drive Forward Lane County is currently in the early stages of fundraising and grant development. We do not currently have dedicated funding available for vehicle repairs. Applications may still be submitted, and any potential assistance is considered on a case-by-case basis depending on whether donated funds, parts, labor, or other resources can be obtained for that specific situation. Every donation brings us closer to having the resources to serve Lane County residents and keep people employed, in school, and moving forward.
Make a DonationHow We Will Measure Our Impact
We are building our program with accountability in mind. As we begin serving residents and reliable data becomes available, we will report real, documented outcomes — and nothing we cannot substantiate. The measures we intend to track as the program grows include:
People assisted
The number of individuals who receive repair assistance.
Vehicles repaired
The number of vehicles restored to safe, roadworthy condition.
Repair assistance provided
The value and type of repair assistance delivered to qualified residents.
Employment maintained
Individuals who stay employed with the help of reliable transportation.
Education & workforce participation
Students and trainees supported in continuing their education and training.
Donated professional services
In-kind repair work and professional expertise contributed by partners.
In-kind contributions
Donated parts, supplies, and materials reducing program costs.
Community partners
Businesses and organizations contributing to the mission.
Drive Forward Lane County has not yet completed its first vehicle repair. No impact statistics are currently published because none exist yet. The metrics above are a framework for the future — we will only publish numbers we can document, so donors and partners can trust that every figure reflects real, verifiable work.
